flavours and ingredients – sometimes
the combinations work, sometimes
they don’t and just occasionally
you create a taste sensation.
I first came across Hot Honey in the US back
in 2018, I realised straight away that I wanted
to create a more crafted chilli honey sauce to
properly enhance the flavour of food with a
runny honey consistency to drizzle on pizza.
I was especially interested in the clever
chemistry between the sweetness of honey
and tanginess of apple cider vinegar,
it gets even more exciting when you start
seasoning with spices and finely ground Cayenne pepper.
I first developed my chilli honey for the
fantastic Moto pizza company in Essex..
their customers loved it so much they were
asking for more.. and I realised that we had
crafted something the market would love too.
We love hearing from our customers –
you send us such great feedback on how
eye-catching the sauce is and how it
brings out the flavours of pizza toppings.
Please keep sending us your fabulous photos!
We also love to see how you are experimenting
using it on other favourite dishes.
Hot Star Honey with prawns and udon noodles is
currently one of my top stir-fry choices!
Thank you to Ella, who suggested that.
Please keep sending us your taste sensations!
ground with specially toasted spices to deliver a deliciously piquant warmth!
from Buzzy Bees.
Our runny honey consistency
means it’s easier
to use in the kitchen
and more fun to drizzle
And our chilli honey sauce
just wouldn’t be so yummy without it!
